President and CEO

Bob Leigh

As LocalGrid’s chief executive officer, Bob is leading the team to help solve the challenges distribution utilities face integrating renewable energy sources and developing a smarter grid. Bob graduated from Queen’s University with a degree in Mathematics and Engineering. He has worked in engineering custom control and test solutions for a variety of industries across Canada for over 10 years, including two years as the Engineering Manager of a Calgary based start-up technology company where he was focused on improving the productivity of unconventional gas wells. “The utility industry has an opportunity to transform itself in the coming years; it is an exciting time to be bringing evolutionary technology to the market.”



Annalee Sawiak

Annalee recently joined LocalGrid as the chief financial and operating officer. She is a designated CPA, CA and has over 30 years of experience in venture capital, international tax and intellectual property deals with a history of bringing companies to market and ultimate sale. Annalee is also an adviser of the MaRS Innovation Centre to the Information, Communications and Entertainment practice.



Graham Beauregard

As LocalGrid’s chief technology officer, Graham is responsible for managing LocalGrid’s team of engineers, as well as leading the company’s day-to-day product development objectives. Graham holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Lakehead University and has expertise in distributed software system architectures and related communications protocols on real-time embedded systems and FPGAs. Previously, Graham designed and implemented high reliability data acquisition, processing and control systems for a variety of industries, including military.
